What’s for dinner?

If I had a dollar for each time my kids asked me this question, I would be a mega millionaire! Well, may be not, but still, it tops the charts of all questions they have ever asked. So, if you're like me, your answer is (always), 'wait until we get home'. That's because sometimes, even I don't know. Do you feel that way sometimes, some days, most days, all days?!

So, how do you go from this question to a delicious dinner magically appearing in front of you? The answer is....you don't. If you want to enjoy good home made food all the time, it will cost you. The price? Planning, yes, good old planning. And what's the upside?

Well how about saving you money, time and taking the guess work out of meals.

In addition, by planning your meals, you can navigate the grocery store and only hit the aisles with the ingredients you require.

Meal planning is a habit. Take it step by step, starting with simple meals with few ingredients. These will also always serve you well in times when you have activities or events come up unexpectedly.

In a nutshell, when you know what you are going to eat, you can anticipate your time in the kitchen and not dread it, and you are less likely to pile up on snacks or foods that contain empty calories.

Happy planning!
